- Compress Files: Use ZIP for groups of files
Best Practices
Use Descriptive File Names
"Website_Mockup_v3_Final_20240115.pdf" is better than "mockup.pdf". Include version numbers and dates.
Organize with Folders
Create a logical folder structure like "Design/Mockups", "Design/Assets", "Legal/Contracts".
Attach Files to Context
Attach files to relevant tasks or messages, not just upload to project root. Makes files easier to find later.
Use Version Control
Upload new versions rather than creating "Final", "Final2", "RealFinal" files. TeamFizz tracks versions automatically.
Add File Descriptions
When uploading, add a brief description explaining what the file is and why it's important.
Regular Cleanup
Quarterly, review and delete outdated files. Archive completed projects to free up space.
Preview Before Downloading
Use file preview to verify it's the right file before downloading, saving time and bandwidth.
